Five (or Seven) on Friday

It's been a crazy week!

Five on Friday might be more like seven or eight...

-ONE-

It's show time folks!
Last Friday was my studio's end of year performance. I'm so lucky to still be able to do what I love, dance!

Here are a few show time selfies with my dancer besties...
Please excuse the excessive amounts of make up :)

Ohhhh the elem. class is so stinking cute!!

-TWO-

My sweet almost teenager (omg) niece stayed the night after my show and the next morning we made our signature blueberry sunshine pancakes and crafted flower crowns!

Soooo sweet! Love those girls!

-THREE-

The night after show all of us girls went to see Blake Shelton to celebrate a great performance!!
At this point none of us has slept more than a few hours that week but we managed to make it through. The guitar shaped frozen beverages helped :)

Annnnnd Miranda lambert performed!!

We had so much fun!

-FOUR-

Sooo looks like I'm in the wreath making business now and I love it! They are so much fun to create.

This one will be finished and delivered tomorrow! I'll be sure to post the finished product!

-FIVE-

It has been raining like crazy all week and we finally got a break for a few hours so we went to the splash pad!

I thought for sure Caroline would nap after all that...
I was wrong.

-SIX-

My friend Ashley and I finally got to take our Sewing 101 class. (Take one: fail, take two: win)
Stay tuned for a more detailed post next week... Until then, here are a few snapshots!

Got our Starbucks and we are ready for class!!

Thanks to my super sweet momma for watching the girls! Hay hay apparently had fun and needed a nap mid snack!

Sewing selfie!

Needs major pressing and pockets but I MADE it!!

-SEVEN-

I'm super excited about my new J. Crew Factory dress that arrived yesterday!! It will be perfect for this weekend's events. More on that next week but until then, go to J. Crew Factory online... Huge sales right now!!

Have a pleasant weekend!

It was a Pleasant Weekend / Five on Friday

This past week was crazy with work and life in general.

Quick catch up since I missed 5 on Friday...

-ONE-
Caroline and I have been on a meat-less kick recently.
(Sorry husband)

She is OBSESSED with Watermelon. Cannot get enough.
After this pic, she proceeded to hug the melon and give it love pats.

Then she switched to chewing on Parmesan wedges... BOGO = WIN!
and yes, she has multiple bows attached to her shirt.
The girl likes her bows.

This was SOOOO good and soooo easy peasy.

Roll out a sheet of puff pastry (with flour) onto a baking sheet. Score the dough and bake at 400 for 15 mins.
Layer fresh grated Gruyere cheese (about 2 cups) and lay the asparagus on top. Season with S/P, Drizzle with EVOO and bake at 400 for 20 mins.
I like to squeeze a little lemon when serving it up.

Then we made this the next day...
 Yummy Caprise garlic bread:
French loaf cut in half and rub with butter and crushed garlic.
Layer fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, EVOO and Balsamic. Season with S/P and bake at 400 for 10 -12 mins.

I have the most amazing balsamic vinegar!!
It's aged 18 years and I can only get it from the Durango Olive Oil Company in Duragno, Colorado.
We probably won't get to go this year since we are moving, so I am glad I picked up several bottles last year!!

-TWO-

Wednesday I linked up with Momfessionals to share my backyard/outdoor space.

 -THREE-
Thursday we dropped Caroline off at her Mamaw's and went shopping for our Master Bathroom remodel!!
We I picked out it all from tile to faucets to towel racks, all of it!
How did I do it?
Well, a happy mud bug eating husband is easier to work with after a few hurricanes when it comes to stuff like this. He was pretty much over it after the tile showroom and dropped me off at the plumbing supply to select all the fixtures and he headed to the nearest watering hole.

Then we met with the contractor and custom vanity guy to get everything in motion.
Come on July 2nd!!!

-FOUR-

I think this was the first picture of the week without a paci.

We were doing good until this week...
When did you take away the pacifier?

-FIVE-

Father's Day!
We kicked it off early at the Classic Car Show.

Had to rock Cece's red boots!

Grand Daddy's cars won first place and best in class for their categories!
She was so excited to help accept the trophy.

Sunday we just hung out at home, per request of the daddy.

Caroline and I made the official lumberjack breakfast, chocolate chip cookies, face timed the Grandpas, and watched movies with daddy all day.
So nice :)

I hope you had a great week/weekend and that this one is just as Pleasant!
