Happy Valentine's Day!

I happen to love Valentine's day and my husband knows it!

Ladies, don't expect your man to do anything for you if you tell him "it's no big deal" or "you don't have to do anything"... because he won't!
Then you spend the rest of the evening in silence playing words with friends while he watches duck dynasty.

So here's my advise: speak up or shut up :)
or... do something nice for him instead, then he will plan for next year.
Learn by example, right?!

This year marks our 10th Valentine's Day and as usual my husband didn't disappoint. He always gets me flowers and a sentimental card, which I love and that's all I want.
He also gave our sweet baby girl her first Valentine's Day card and it was so sweet, I cried reading it!
There's nothing better than receiving a Valentine from your dad!

Celebrate Love this Valentine's Day!
xoxo

By the way, head over to Hello, Splendor to see my Valentine's Day Sit + Sip post!

Don't you just LOVE the iconic J. Crew Bubble Necklace!?
ME TOO :)
Now baby can match mommy's super chic style with this cutesie onesie by Inspired by This!

and...

I am seriously coveting these enamel Henri Bendel bangles
When I came upon these colorful crochet teething rings by Koukku, I knew it was a match made in heaven!
I'll take the both in Emerald, Please.
Emerald is the Pantone color of the year if you didn't hear!

Halloween at Home

Staying in this Halloween?
That's my plan!

Enjoy a night in with a classic scary movie and these fun Halloween-ish novelties!

Scream Ice Cubes for your beverage

Pretty lace cat eye mask to show your spirit when the trick or treaters come knocking

Black and Gold hammered metal candy bowl

Spooky skeleton servers to scoop up dinner

Ghostly White chardonnay to calm your nerves

After the candy is gone, paint those nails blood red

Have a Pleasant Weekend!
Hopefully our little pumpkin will make her debut!!!

2013 is just around the corner!

Even though I have calendars on my email, my phone, facebook, etc... I still love having a desk calendar.

Like this fun bubble calendar... hardest part... not popping all of the bubbles before the day comes!
Hmm, maybe this little self control exercise would be good for a 2013 resolution.

Or this modern wooden day calendar you can use for years and years!

Beautiful illustrations to enjoy each month.
I like to keep calendars like this and frame the images at the end of the year!

Get ready, because 2013 will be here before we know it!

The Two Words You Should Never Use...

"The first one is swell and the second one is lousy."

"Give us the lousy one first"

- One of my favorite quotes from an I Love Lucy episode when the gang takes proper english lessons before the arrival of Little Ricky!

Well, I'm gonna use both of those words in the same sentence... Swelling is lousy!

I have had my ups and downs with being pregnant and I have to say the recent throbbing swelling in my hands and legs are no piece of cake.
(mmm, cake!)
Good news is, the end is near and she could be here any day now!

As my Mom would say, "I know it's tough. Hang in there, sport!"

Thankfully there's pinterest to keep my mind off the fact that my ring finger has cleavage around my wedding band.

Since our baby is the size of a pumpkin, I've been collecting Halloween inspired pins!

I love these painted pumpkins, no messy innards to clean out!

I have tons of cookie cutters... hand me a mallet!

Cute candy corn chocolate dipped cookies!

Salty and Sweet halloween bark!

Oui, Please

Speaking of dreaming...
I am missing one of my favorite places, Paris.
So many wonderful memories from my adventures there, I am dreaming of the day when I get to go back.
Until then, here's a little collaboration to keep me satisfied for now...

Great book from the leading fashionista herself.
Cute notecards to send my favorite traveling buddy.
Sassy bangle.
Monument mug for my cafe au lait.
Loved this striped sweater from last week's How I Met Your Mother... a splurge but cute non the less!
Great everyday patent flats for fall!

Have a Pleasant Weekend!

Is today the day?

So I haven't had any horrific pregnant dreams but the ones I have had were very vivid...

like this one:
I went into labor and the only person who was able to drive me to the hospital was my nephew... and he's 6! Strange thing was, he had a driver's license and had no trouble reaching the pedals.
We loaded up his mom's suv and he very calmly drove us to labor and delivery, but first we had to make a quick stop at lego land. He insisted on getting more legos since he will be spending the next 14 hours in a hospital waiting room. When we arrived at the hospital everyone was there waiting on us in what looked more like the lobby bar at the W hotel rather than a sterile waiting room... cocktails and all, weird!!!

or this one:
I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful doctor who happens to be the one that brought my brother and myself into this world. My dream began at the end of my delivery and as soon as I made the last push, he held her up for us to see, and then announces this was his last baby and is retiring!

and the most recent:
I dreamt she was born on 10-11-12... well here we are on October 11, 2012 and the day's not over!

I'm curious, what kind of dreams did you have while pregnant?
