Happy Valentine's Day!

I happen to love Valentine's day and my husband knows it!

Ladies, don't expect your man to do anything for you if you tell him "it's no big deal" or "you don't have to do anything"... because he won't!
Then you spend the rest of the evening in silence playing words with friends while he watches duck dynasty.

So here's my advise: speak up or shut up :)
or... do something nice for him instead, then he will plan for next year.
Learn by example, right?!

This year marks our 10th Valentine's Day and as usual my husband didn't disappoint. He always gets me flowers and a sentimental card, which I love and that's all I want.
He also gave our sweet baby girl her first Valentine's Day card and it was so sweet, I cried reading it!
There's nothing better than receiving a Valentine from your dad!

Celebrate Love this Valentine's Day!
xoxo

By the way, head over to Hello, Splendor to see my Valentine's Day Sit + Sip post!

Spring makes me HAPPY!
Everything comes back to life and puts me into DIY mode!

One of the best things about being a blogger is discovering new and interesting projects from other blogs! There are so many wonderful ideas out there and I wanted to share a few of my recent finds.

This month... Add a little pattern to your home!

Project Numero Uno:
Not all of us can afford the coveted Hermes scarf
(if it's not on your hope-to-have-label-before-I-die wish list add it!!!)
But most of us can swing $60 bucks for the full collection in hardback form! Turn those pages into a collection of art! For more info check out the project post from Marcus Design! She also has an amazing furniture DIY that I am DYING to do! More on that later :)

Next:
Tired of your boring book shelf? Add a fun wallpaper to the back like this image from Decor Pad! We at PULP Design Studios recently used one of my favroite patterns in a client's guest bath! Check out Darcy from Graham and Brown, stunning!

Trois:
Speaking of PULP, did you catch Heather's super cool tribal wood panel project on Hello, Splendor?!

Four legs got to your sweater?:
A high school friend of mine keeps up with my little corner of the Internet (thanks, Vee!) and sent me this genius DIY from Krrb! Don't ditch your sweaters... wrap them up! Isn't this sweater bench so smart?!

Okay, I've supplied you plenty of inspiration thanks to some of my favorite blogs!
Need a little more?
The next best place for DIY inspiration... CANTON!
It's this weekend, who's going?
I might need to make a trip to get some rocks for this DIY!

I'm Headed to Barcelona!

No, not for real.
I wish I could go back for visit #3 and check on the Sagrada Familia's progress!
Instead, I am blogging over at Hello, Splendor about this fabulous city in my series
City Inspired!

Have you been to Barcelona?
What was your favorite site?

Catch Me On Hello, Splendor!

Hello Loves!

I've started up a new series called City Inspired showcasing my favorite cities and design inspired by those destinations!

Since I L.O.V.E to travel and credit my unforgettable adventures as the reason I wanted to become an interior designer... it seemed only fitting!

But you won't find my new series here on Pleasantly Yours...!

Today's trip is across the pond to London!
{queue the horns playing the national anthem!}

I have put together a traditional slash contemporary design board.
{what we like to call in the biz a collection of furniture and finishes}

Some classic, some quirky, but overall whimsical and fun!

Go check out my post on Hello, Splendor, the official blog of Pulp Design Studios!
I hope you enjoy!
